Robert Allen

In 2006, Robert Allen joined SIGA Technologies as a scientist and worked as a Principal Investigator there until 2013, with a focus on antiviral drug discovery and preclinical development. During his time with SIGA he worked closely with the Smallpox & Rabies and the Viral Hemorrhagic Fevers teams at the CDC. He is currently the Scientific Director of the Oregon Translational Research and Development Institute and holds courtesy faculty appointments at Oregon State University in the College of Pharmacy and the College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Allen earned his Ph.D. in Microbiology from Columbia University and completed a Leukemia and Lymphoma Society postdoctoral fellowship in viral pathogenesis at Washington University in St. Louis and Emory University.
